3rd International Youth Forum 'Ethical Imperatives in Law, Education, Science and Culture'

3rd International Youth Forum 'Ethical Imperatives in Law, Education, Science and Culture' has taken place 10 May 2015 on the basis of Belgorod Law Institute of MIA of Russia. Organizers of the forum are Multiregion Public Outreach Organization 'Association of Orthodox Scientists' (city of Voronezh); Belgorod Law Institute of MIA of Russia; Belgorod National Research University; Belgorod University of Cooperation, Economics and Law. The forum was held with blessing of Metropolitan John of Stary Oskol.
Students from 37 universities participated in the forum, among them there were representatives of Voronezh higher education institutions. Archpriest Pavel Weingold, dean of Smolensk Сathedral, greeted the audience on behaf of Mitropolitan John, so did archpriest Gennadius Zaridze, dean of Protection of the Blessed Virgin Cathedral of Kashira deanery of Voronezh and Borisoglebsk Eparchy, chairperson of the Association of Orthodox Scientists.
The forum was attended by the following scientists and social and political activists: Marat Mazitovich Musin, Russian economist, Doctor of Economics, Prof., Head of Department in Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, military reporter, head of ANNA-news Agency; Olga Nikolaevna Chetvertikova, Candidate of Historical Sciences, associate professor of Department of European countries and America history and polititcs at MGIMO-University, member of the Academy on Geopolitical Affairs; Irina Vladimirovna Volinets, Russian public person, journalist, expert of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, chairperson of the Commission for family and population policy of the Social platform of the All-Russian 'United Russia' party; Tatiana Mikhailovna Borovikova, member of the Central Council for the All-Russian Public Movement 'Mothers of Russia', council chairperson of the All-Russian Public Organization ''Russian Large and Foster Families Community 'Many Children - Good!'' and others.
A creative works competition called 'I am a patriot', dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory, was organized during the forum. 87 works of different genres were accepted for the competition. Winners were Mikhail Kalashnikov, student of Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL), and Nikita Safronov, master's student of Law Institute 'Belgorod National Research University'.
The Russian education advancement issue appeared the central theme of the forum discussions. Forum participants expressed their concern for the project 'Parenting advancement strategies in Russia for the period untill 2025', aimed at 're-thinking of such values as civil identity, patriotism, responsible life attitude' (section II, p. 1 of the project). An unanimous opinion expressed at the forum says that ancestors' efforts cultivated a 'patriotism gene' in the Russian people, which needs no transformations. Based on the results of the forum work the Declaration 'On Ethics Protection in Law, Education, Science and Culture' was adopted.
Competition participants from Voronezh thank Elena Viktorovna Safronova and her assistants for organizing this event and for the traditionally warm welcome.
